In order to improve the prospects of young people, the three social enterprises Apeiros e.V., Chancenwerk e.V. and Teach First Deutschland have joined forces in Duisburg for the Education as an opportunity cooperation project.
Qualifications for working internationally
The German students who qualify for a Haniel scholarship from the study foundation each year are given the perfect preparation for a future in an international company. This gives them the opportunity to then embark on business-related postgraduate studies at leading universities around the world.
The McCloy Academic Scholarship Program and the Haniel Foundation have been promoting transatlantic dialogue between America and Europe since 2002. The program enables up to six stipendiaries to study at the renowned Harvard University for two years.
A business mindset and application-oriented analytical methods are in demand not only in the private sector. They are also used by decision makers in not-for-profit organizations, who thus promote sociopolitical change. The Haniel Foundation has therefore been lending its support to the Willy Brandt School of Public Policy since the school was founded.
More than just a scholarship
The Haniel Foundation brings its stipendiaries and alumni together at its annual stipendiary seminar, as a platform for them to forge links and build up their networks. The programme features presentations given by experts, panel discussions and workshops.
